Joining Instructions
All learners must hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate that remains valid for at least 12 months prior to the start of the course.
In accordance with Security Industry Authority (SIA) requirements, learners must provide identification documents as outlined below:
- One document from Group A
- Two documents from Group B
At least one document must include your date of birth, and each Group B document must show your current address.
Important: Only original physical documents will be accepted. Scanned copies or photocopies will not be accepted.
Group A – Primary Identity Documents
- Valid signed passport (any nationality)
- Identity card issued by the UK Home Office
- Valid signed UK photocard driving license
- UK birth certificate or certified copy (issued within 12 months of birth – not a photocopy)
- UK adoption certificate
Group B – Supporting Documents
- Valid EU photocard ID
- Valid UK firearms license (with photo)
- Valid signed UK paper driving license
- Marriage or civil partnership certificate (with English translation if required)
- Certified copy of UK birth certificate issued more than 12 months after birth
- Non-UK birth certificate (with English translation if required)
- P45 – income statement issued in the last 12 months
- P60 – annual income statement issued in the last 12 months
- Bank or building society statement (issued within the last 3 months, addressed to your current address)
- Multiple statements may be used if from different banks/building societies
- Mortgage statement (issued within the last 12 months)
- Recent utility bill – gas, electric, water, phone, satellite, cable, or mobile contract
- Must be dated within the last 3 months and sent to your current address
- Only one utility bill can be used as proof
- TV license (in your name and current address, issued within the last 12 months)
- Pension, endowment, or ISA statement (issued within the last 12 months)
- Certificate of British nationality
- British work permit or visa (issued within the last 12 months)
- Official letter from HMRC, Department for Work and Pensions, Job Centre, or local authority
- Must be issued within the last 3 months
- You may use more than one if they’re from different departments or local authorities
- Credit card statement (issued within the last 3 months and sent to your current address)
- Multiple statements allowed if issued by different providers
- Council Tax statement (issued within the last 12 months)
- Court summons (issued within the last 12 months)
Identification Requirements
On the first day of your course, you must bring:
- Two recent colour passport-sized photographs (no sunglasses, hats, or Bluetooth/mobile accessories).
Important: Failure to provide the required identification will result in you being unable to attend the course or sit any examinations.
Language Proficiency
To successfully participate in the course, learners must demonstrate minimum English language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, equivalent to Level B2. Acceptable qualifications include:
- A B2 level qualification from the Home Office’s list of recognised English language tests
- A B2 CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level
- ESOL Level 1 (Ofqual register – England, Wales, Northern Ireland)
- ESOL SCQF Level 5 (awarded by the Scottish Qualifications Authority)
- Functional Skills Level 1 in English
- SQA Core Skills in Communication at SCQF Level 5
Training centres are required to retain proof of competency across all four areas (reading, writing, speaking, listening) for a minimum of three years, as per assessment evidence retention guidelines.
Course Fees and Refund Policy
- All course fees are non-refundable.
- Learners are entitled to one free retake per failed exam paper. Subsequent retakes will incur a £30.00 fee per paper.
- To be awarded the qualification, learners must pass all exams and complete all class-based/video/portfolio assessments.
- A deposit payment secures your place on the course, but it will not be refunded if you fail to attend.
- If the training centre cancels the course, you will be offered either a full refund or a place on an alternative course.
- The centre reserves the right to cancel the course at any time if deemed necessary.

Attendance and Punctuality
- Registration opens at 8:45 AM, and training begins promptly at 9:00 AM.
- Instructors will complete registration before the course starts.
- Punctuality is essential – lateness is not permitted under any circumstances.

Course Overview: Door Supervisor Training
Modules covered:
- Principles of Working in the Private Security Industry
- Principles of Working as a Door Supervisor
- Application of Conflict Management Techniques
- Application of Physical Intervention Skills
Assessment Details:
- All assessment activities will be video recorded for quality and compliance purposes.
- Video footage will be securely stored and retained on the learner’s file for 1 year.
Important Information: Physical Intervention Training
Health & Safety Disclaimer
Please be aware that the Physical Intervention component of your training includes physical activity, and there is a potential risk of injury.
Before participating, you will be asked to sign a declaration confirming that:
- You are physically fit.
- You have no injuries or medical conditions that could pose a risk to yourself or others.
Although every effort has been made to minimize risk, physical contact and movement are involved, and learners must understand the inherent risk. Emergency contact (next of kin) details must be provided before training begins.
Health Conditions – Disclosure Required
If you have any of the following conditions, you must contact the office before booking your course for a confidential discussion:
- Heart-related conditions
- Epilepsy or other seizure-related disorders
- Muscle pain or chronic discomfort
- Dizziness or balance issues
- Bone fractures (recent or historical) or bone-related illnesses
- History of stroke
- High blood pressure
- Diabetes
- Recent or past surgeries
- Any prescribed medication
- Any other condition that may affect your ability to participate safely

Dress Code
Clothing
- Classroom sessions: Smart casual attire
- Physical training: Loose-fitting or sportswear
Footwear
- Comfortable trainers or sport shoes
Jewellery
- No jewellery is allowed during physical intervention practice
- This includes earrings, nose rings, eyebrow rings, or any piercings
Note: The centre is not responsible for lost or left-behind personal items.
Purpose of Practical Training
The physical skills taught are designed to be non-aggressive, legal, and effective techniques used to:
- Minimise the risk of assault, attack, or abduction
- Protect yourself or others and create safe disengagement from an assailant
- Guide and escort individuals safely
- Physically hold someone if required by the situation
The trainer or centre reserves the right to remove any participant from the course to ensure a safe and productive environment. No refund will be issued if a learner is removed for safety or behavioural concerns.
Behaviour & Conduct
At Logix Training Ltd, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards:
- Abuse
- Racism
- Discrimination
Any learner engaging in inappropriate behaviour will be removed from the premises without a refund. In serious cases, the police will be contacted.
SIA Licence Information
Once you successfully complete the course (results usually take 5–10 working days), you can apply for your SIA Licence.
